Chrysanthemum 菊花

Chrysanthemum (lat. Chrysanthemum morifolium) is a plant of the family Asteraceae.
The dried bulbs of the plant are used in TCM.

It is bitter, sweet and slightly cold in
nature.
Returns to the lung and liver meridians.

Value in Traditional Chinese Medicine

Disperses wind and clears away heat, calms the liver and
improves eyesight, removes toxins. Used for treatnig mainly wind-heat type
common cold, headache and dizziness, redness and swelling of the eyes,
blurred vision, abscesses.
